Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Thursday :) It's almost the weekend- and Memorial Day weekend, at that. I come to you this morning with some exciting news.

The Organic Bloom finally has a shopping cart up and running! No more emailing your orders. No more waiting on me to put it into an invoice. Now, you can just shop at your leisure and place your orders when you're ready!

I am absolutely in love with it. And those who have tested it for us seem to like it, as well.

Here's the deal:

We still work exclusively with professional portrait photographers.
You must have a photography website, Facebook fan page, or photography blog displaying a minimum example of thirty different portrait sessions.
If you are not a professional portrait photographer, or if you are not quite established enough to display thirty different portrait sessions, please email us at info@theorganicbloom.com with your zip code. We would be happy to locate a retailer near you.

To access the store, visit store.theorganicbloom.com - the first step is filling out the registration form (under create account). Please include your business name and website. I will need to approve/re-approve everyone who registers. Once I've gotten an opportunity to do that, you will be able to begin purchasing through the store. If you are one of our new clients, you will want to email me (info@theorganicbloom.com) for a wholesale packet, as well. That will give you information on sample options, as well as other frequently asked questions. If you are wanting to go ahead and take advantage of your once per calendar year sample pricing, please use coupon code: 2011StudioSample at checkout.

Also try the mobile version on your phone! If using an iPhone, press the arrow button on the bottom center of your screen. Hit "add to home screen" and it's as if The Organic Bloom had an iPhone app. It's perfect for on location photogs, or photogs who visit their clients for proofing.

There are a few things about the store that we are still working out. For one, reward points! The store will show that you have them after you've made a purchase. We aren't quite ready to release what the points will get you, but I guarantee there is something fun and exciting in the works.

Other than that, I think everything else is pretty straight forward. I'm sure I will be updating this blog post frequently today as I receive more questions.

Good Morning, Bloomies! Happy Monday to everyone. Hopefully it was a nice, relaxing weekend for you all. Megs and I spent most of the weekend working on our new offices. J-Bird and Andrea were kind enough to come out and help us :) It was a pretty great way to spend our weekend. We've got such a fun team! We had jousting competitions with old light bulbs and found some pretty great mustaches in our scrap pile. Here are couple of photos for your viewing pleasure:

Hi, Everyone! Welcome to Fun Frame Monday. I hope you all had a splendid weekend- if you're a momma, I certainly hope you had a great Mother's Day. Well, it's the beginning of the week and I'm definitely feeling it :) The weekend could have been a bit longer, as far as I'm concerned. But, I've got my favorite band playing on iTunes and I'm coming around.

So, our feature frame for this week is Mary Ann in Dragon Fruit. Dragon Fruit is one of our newer colors and I just love it! If you're looking for a fuchsia color, this is definitely it. It's gorgeous! Mary Ann is one of our original frame styles, but she's our shining star. Definitely everyone's favorite! She's super cute when it comes to the small sizes, but her real beauty is seen as she gets larger. Talk about having a presence! This week we'll be gifting an 8x10 to 5 lucky ducks.

Hello, Hello! And welcome back to Fun Frame Monday. I'm sorry we missed you guys last Monday. It was a bit of a crazy day around here. I should have taken it as a sign for how the rest of the week was going to be. Holy Moly! There are a lot of things I love about Tuesday- The first one being, it isn't Monday anymore. I also love getting to read your comments, seeing all the photo entries, and getting to announce the week's winners. But, what I love most about Tuesdays- is how I am always amazingly surprised by the versatility of our frames.

Jamaican Sea is a fun, bright color. I love it, but I'm always under the impression that there's only so much that can be done with it. You guys completely proved me wrong! There wasn't a photo used this week that didn't go well with the frame color. And they were all so different! The possibilities really are endless when it comes to choosing a frame style and color that is right for your print. Absolutely wonderful work this week, guys!

Manic Little Monday

Hi, Bloomies! Happy Monday Morning to you. I hope everyone is refreshed and enjoying their new work week. Spring has left us here in Oklahoma for the time being. It's chilly and overcast and definitely feels like a Monday- haha! But, we have promises of 70 and 80 degree weather toward the end of the week! So, I'm still hopeful that full blown, non-fleeting spring is justttt around the corner.

Things have not slowed down for us here at The Organic Bloom! The great thing is, after almost a year of production, we're finally all finding a comfortable place within this company. We are so thankful that you guys have supported us as we've established who we are, what we do, and how to effectively live according to our company culture. You guys are truly amazing!

The Organic Bloom wants YOU!

Well, really we want your photos. But- they're an extension of you, right?

So, here's the deal- We're pretty big fans of this little company called, "Moo". Ever heard of them? If not, check them out! They have this service called, "printfinity", which means a different photo can be displayed on the back of every piece you have printed by them. We've chosen to have them do our business cards. This is where you come in! We need 250 different photos of our frames to grace the back of our cards. Who better to ask for photos of our frames than you guys?!

Here's what we need:

Good morning, Lovelies! And happy Tuesday to you. We had some awesome entries this week. I loved, loved, loved looking through all the bright, warm photos you guys submitted. Sunshine, freshly cut grass, flowers. Ahhhh, my favorite time of year.

A Sprung-Forward Monday!

Good morning, everyone! Welcome back for another Fun Frame Monday. I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing weekend. The high point of our weekend was finishing up the move into our new wood shop! We're super excited to continue production in a bigger place that is right next to our paint shop.

Also, a high point of this weekend (at least for me), was the time change! I just love it when we get to move our clocks forward. It might mean that we lose an hour of sleep in the morning, but we gain an hour of daylight! Not to mention, springing forward means that full blown spring is just right around the corner. THANK GOODNESS! Tulsa received more snow this winter than I've ever seen. And I'd be perfectly happy to never see it again. Bring on the 80 degree weather! I'm ready.

So, with spring in mind, our featured frame for this Fun Frame Monday is miss June in Pink Peony. June is a frame style that demands attention. Although most of our frames are eye catchers (if I do say so myself), June has a huge presence about her. I just love her! Especially in a color as bright and cheery as Pink Peony.

Johnny made the most precious Christmas ornaments. But, he also looks great with large displays! Here he is paired with (2) Lewis frames, (2) Eva frames, and a large June frame. This display was used for our booth at the American Girl show in Tulsa (September 2010).

It has been a busy few weeks for us here at The Organic Bloom. From the Twenty Thousand Fan giveaway, to meeting some of our awesome clients at WPPI, and moving into our new warehouse- all while continuing frame production! Holy Moly Monday!

Hi, Everyone! It's the second week in February. Can you guys believe that?! My, my- how time is flying. It's been an eventful February for us thus far. Tulsa experienced their second blizzard ever in the history of the national weather service! 15" in less than 12 hours. AND! Guess what else? Three days later we received another 4"-6" of snow. We also experienced a record low of -6 degrees. I went outside, sniffled, and my nose got stuck! Ummm, dislike.

Anyway- it's a new week. It's Monday. Let's make it a fun! Today we're giving away five 8" x 8" Mary Ann's in Tahitian Sky. Given all the snow we've received, I want to see some fun snow photos! I would have done anything to have captured Walter (my weenie dog) in the snow. His little legs are so short. He did not fair well in the 19"+ of snow we received. It was hilarious! He thought he could hop through it. He would stand in one place for a few moments and then hop to the next. Poor guy!

Good Morning, lovelies! Welcome back to the work week. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was a busy one here at The Organic Bloom. Frames were packed, tours were given, arrangements for a new warehouse were made. Eeeeeep! Our little baby bloom is growing so quickly. We're so excited and can't wait to get into our new space. Which, by the way, is going to be located right next to our paint shop. Talk about convenient!

Anywayyy- Let's get down to business. It's Monday and that can only mean one thing. FUN FRAME MONDAY is here! So, up for grabs today is one of my absolute favorites- Lovely miss June in antiqued blush (8x10). For those of you who aren't up on the OB lingo, the term "antiqued" refers to the brown glaze that you see applied to the already distressed edges of this frame. The Organic Bloom frames come standard with rubbed, distressed edges. Having the brown glaze applied to the edges is an extra process called antiquing.

We're providing a .psd file for you guys-here it is. (Open the frame psd and open your image. Crop your image accordingly - drag it onto the psd file - making sure it is on top of the gray clipping mask, then under layer - select CREATE CLIPPING MASK and your image will drop into the frame. I can't tell you how much fun I had reading your comments and looking through all your photo submissions. You guys are just so incredibly talented. I'm grateful that I have to choose winners at random. Otherwise, there's no way I could have picked my favorites. Thank you so much for your kind words via the blog comments. Good Morning, everyone! And welcome to 2011. We're officially past the holiday season and ready to dive into the new year! The last few months have been crazy busy and we've learned a lot. We've reached a place, though, where we've been through some trials, learned some lessons, and now feel as though we're prepared for anything (well, almost anything.)!

Good afternoooon, Everyone!

We hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season- christmas shopping, ice-skating, eggnog drinking, yummy treat making.

We are finding that we might have a new Christmas tradition that takes up lotsss of our time. Meet The Organic Bloom Christmas ornaments:

We're certainly not complaining, though. These little babes are just too cute! We've had several people order 20+ ornament frames with the intent of decorating an entire tree in the Organic Bloom. We are antsy to see photos of those trees!

We want to apologize for the lack of detailed updates within the last few weeks. We're finding it hard to have time to do much lately. Even sleep (Jason & Andrea)! We just want you guys to know that even though we're completely slammed, a bit sleep deprived, and sometimes a bit overwhelmed- We are totally living our dream. And none of it would be possible without all of you. We are so, so grateful for the positive response to our frames. Your happiness about and enthusiasm regarding our product is what justifies the hard work we put in. We love getting your feedback and seeing the photos you post of our frames in use. It's so exciting to know that we created something people like.

We even had to move warehouses in order to accomodate our expanding business! How exciting is that?! Here is a glimpse of our work in progress:

Anywayyyy- I'm sure that you all are getting a bit curious about the title of this post and wondering when I'm going to get to it already. Well, here it is- WE REACHED 10,000 FANS ON FACEBOOK MONDAY EVENING! Can you guys believe that?! A little over six weeks ago we had around 250 fans. A lot of which were personal friends, or friends of friends. We still cannot believe the rapid pace at which our business has grown. Six weeks ago it was just Jason and Andrea. Doing everything! Now they have me (Rach, the office manager), two girls who help pack and ship, three painters, and Tim who helps cut frames.

It's just amazing.

Now to the good stuff-

I'm so excited to introduce this new line of Organic Bloom frames! I've been searching and searching for some cool, funky frames and I was overjoyed when I came across these :) They come in a variety (and I mean variety!) of shapes and sizes. Each frame is custom made to your specifications, doesn't get any better than that!

This one shown is the 'Ellie' style in Espresso Bean finish with antiqued edges.

Close up of the antique edges, which in my opinion is half of what makes it so adorable. I don't think I would order one without it!
